Well measurement device mit signal whistle, 10-30m

The complete well measurement device consists of a singal whistle and a measuring tape with special frame. At the end of the measuring tape there is a chain with carabiner and locking.

Working method

The signal whistle is hollow and has a slit for the whistle at the end. During the measurement the end dips into the water and the water causes an exhaust of the air. Therefore an accousic whistle signal indicates the water surface and the water level depth can directly be measured at the measuring tape. As the water has displaced the air, the real water level is determined as the measured depth plus the amount of empty whistle rings (1cm each). If there is too much background noise at the measurement point or if the water level needs to be controlled in short periods (well tests), we recommend you to use a Water Level Meter with an electric light signal. 

Specifications:

Measuring tape: the standard measuring tape consists of a polyamid-coated steel strap with cm-partition, 13 mm width. Optionally a measuring tape out of non-corrosive steel strap or glass fibre strap is available.

Well signal whistle: RANG'S well signal whistle consists of a precise twisted whistle out of nickel-plated messing. The distance between the rings (Picture 3) is exactly 1cm and the whistle gives a precise accoustic signal as soon as it reaches water surface.

Two different sizes available: outer diameter= 26mm and length =approx. 310mm or outer diameter=15mm and length= approx. 375mm (for very small tubes only).

Special frame: (see picture 1) The special frame consists of nickel-plated messing. With this shape the measuring-tape is protected and the device can easily be positioned.

All parts are non-corrosive.

For the transport and protection of the well measurement device we recommend leather bags with carrying shoulder strap.
