While letting down the device, the poppet valve at the
top and bottom end are open and water can flow through the chamber. The
valves close during the device is pulled upwards so that only water from
the chosen depth is kept in the probe-chamber. The device can be
mounted with a carabiner at a wire or an measuring tape (suitable f. e.
for our plummet devices).
We also offer seperate water level meters with a hook for
an carabiner at the bottom.
The standard device (ordering-nr.
EG1, picture 1) has 40 mm Ø and a length of approx. 41 cm and a volume of 300 cm³.
special devices with volumes 600 cm³ and 1 l (1000
cm³) are possible. The metal parts consist of nickel-plated messing, the
poppet valves are out of PVC.
